Arthur L. Johnson Urban Perspectives Lecture with Ron Gettelfinger

Ron Gettelfinger was elected to a second term as president of the UAW on June 14, 2006. Under his leadership, the UAW has fought for fair trade agreements that include provisions for workers' rights, and national, accessible and affordable single-payer healthcare. Gettelfinger called for a "Marshall Plan" to renew America's industrial base through incentives to manufacture energy-saving advanced technology vehicles and their key components in the United States. The Graduate Exhibition will give the community an insider's look into the latest academic research in a variety of disciplines, and challenge students to present their work to those outside their fields. The poster session will run from 1-3 p.m. in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center. The art displays and performances take place from 3-5 p.m. in the Community Arts Auditorium. An awards ceremony will follow.
