Learn How to Lead from Today’s Leaders
The Wayne State University Alumni Association and Dean of Students Office co-sponsor a series of discussions for current Wayne State students titled “Lessons in Leadership,” featuring former students who are now leaders in the business, healthcare, education and government communities. These lectures allow you to listen and learn from alumni in the business, education and healthcare fields, to name a few, who not long ago were in your position. You will have to the opportunity to discuss with these leaders their leadership experiences and the role leadership plays in the work they do every day.
All current Wayne State students are invited to attend the upcoming “Lessons in Leadership” lecture from 5-6 p.m., April 9 with Jim Garavaglia, Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Compliance and Public Affairs, Comerica, Click here for more information and to make a reservation.
The Importance of Being Green
Make a short video (2 to 4 minutes) about why environmental sustainability is important on campus and have your video featured on the alumni association's YouTube site and for the university's Earth Day program in April.
Tell why it's important to save paper on campus; to recycle cans vs. throwing them in trash bins; and how commuting to school can save gas and the environment. You should shoot these videos on campus. Videos should be shot and e-mailed to ap9048@wayne.edu by April 6.
Environmental sustainability is everyone’s business – tell us what you’re doing on campus to make it yours.
