Aim Higher for Students Campaign is Launched
Wayne State students deserve every chance to reach their highest academic and personal potential. We must take immediate action to address the growing numbers of students who require financial assistance to achieve their goals.
For this reason, the university has launched the Aim Higher for Students campaign to raise money for scholarships and other educational resources that will enhance student success. With your help, every student can reach new heights of success.
There’s no time like the present to make your gift.
For more information, and to watch the campaign video, visit www.aimhigherforstudents.wayne.edu.

Wayne State Raises Tuition
The university’s Board of Governors has approved an increase in tuition of 5.4 percent, to be bought down in the current year to 4.8 percent for Michigan-resident undergraduate students through the application of federal stimulus funding. Even with this increase Wayne State’s annual tuition is 12th among Michigan’s 15 public universities.
Although Wayne State will continue to focus on urban research, education and outreach, providing financial aid and keeping tuition low remain top priorities despite a budget crisis that has crippled state funding for higher education.
Wayne State has historically returned 27 cents of every tuition dollar to financial aid, providing significant help for students with financial need, and this year has instituted a number of special financial aid programs in recognition of the difficult economic times. For more information about the Aim Higher for Students campaign and other ways Wayne State is working to help students, click here.
