Are you a recent graduate looking for a job or a more seasoned professional searching for a new career? If so, you need to attend the alumni association CareerBoost program “Yes! You Can Land A Job (Even) In A Crummy Economy” with Therese Marie Boldt, career coach and author. This interactive workshop will help you learn new and effective ways to land a job, develop results-oriented job search strategies and design a networking strategy. Click here for more details. It also includes a calendar of workshops, on-campus interviews, annual career fairs and company recruiting events.

Home Buying Hint: Take Advantage of the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit

Scholarship Support for Unemployed Wayne State Alumni and their Spouses
Wayne State University currently is offering the Graduate Alumni Scholarship and Undergraduate Alumni Scholarship to graduates who wish to pursue a new undergraduate degree or graduate degree and have been involuntarily separated from their employment within the last six months, or have a spouse who has lost his or her job within the last six months. The spouse of the graduate also is eligible for the scholarship. Visit www.finaid.wayne.edu for complete information and application materials for both scholarships.
Volunteer at Grad Expo
Grad Expo will be held Nov. 3-5, 2009, at the Welcome Center for new graduates to purchase their caps and gowns, pick up their commencement tickets and most importantly, join the alumni association … all in preparation for their December commencement exercises. Come out, meet new graduates and encourage them to join the alumni association by volunteering for Grad Expo.
